STROKE

Stroke affects people in different ways. Physiotherapy is an important part of rehabilitation following stroke. Physiotherapy can help restore loss of movement following a stroke.

FACIAL PALSY

Injury in the VII cranial nerve leads to weakness of the face muscles resulting in inability to blink or close eyes, smile or even hold air in the mouth. There is marked deviation of the face on one side.

JOINT PAIN

We assess and treat all manner of joint pain and dysfunction. Seeing a physiotherapy is a really good first port of call if you have a muscular-skeletal assessment and diagnosis.

VERTIGO

Vertigo and dizziness are often highly confused. Vertigo is a specific type of dizziness defined as the illusion of movement occurring in the environment. Vertigo and dizziness are not interchangeable terms.

FROZEN SHOULDER

The key features of a frozen shoulder are stiffness and pain. However, it often takes a while before you really notice it, probably because it’s more often the non-dominant shoulder that develops it.

NECK AND BACK PAIN

Lifestyles are becoming more sedentary and people are often forced to commit to long commutes to work; electronic devices have fast become part of the modern world, thus neck pain is notably on the increase.
